About Me

Hello! I'm Kristen, the owner of Illuminating Photography! I am located in Farmington, CT. Here is a little information about me and my photography. I married my high school sweet heart in 2019 and we have the sweetest little boy who will be 2 already in March! My love for photography began when I was in high school, I loved being behind the camera and editing! Once I was in college, I decided to finally buy my first camera and what started just as a hobby of taking portraits of nature soon turned into a business of taking family pictures. I became the one in the family who takes pictures of everythingggg and still do! In 2013, I did my first engagement session which was followed by more engagement sessions, family sessions and even my first wedding! WI love natural light and offering candid moments that can be frozen in time through my lens. I shoot with a Canon. It is so important to me to create timeless photos for you and your family to enjoy and to make you feel absolutely comfortable and natural during our session. And lastly, I hope to be able to be a part of your story soon too!
